Aspiring engineers and manufacturers, along with their families, are invited to explore the dynamic world of manufacturing and discover the life-changing opportunities offered through Spectra’s apprenticeship programmes.

Located at the company’s purpose-built factory in Halesworth, this free event offers an exclusive behind-the-scenes look at one of the UK’s leading independent packaging manufacturers. Visitors will be taken on guided tours of the factory and, more specifically, the engineering departments, allowing them to witness first hand the innovative technologies, processes, and staff that continue to drive Spectra’s success.

Whether you’re a school leaver looking for a first step into the working world or an individual seeking a career change, Spectra’s apprenticeships offer a gateway to learning, growth, and professional development. Attendees will hear from current apprentices and seasoned professionals about their experiences and the exciting projects they work on every day.

“We are passionate about inspiring the next generation of manufacturing and engineering talent,” said Ella-Rose Harrison-Reeve, Marketing Executive and STEM Ambassador at Spectra Packaging. “This event is designed to give students and parents a real insight into the vibrant, rewarding careers available in our industry. We want to show that manufacturing is not just a job—it’s a career with endless opportunities for growth.”

“We’re incredibly passionate about creating opportunities for women in STEM,” said Ella. “By challenging stereotypes and showcasing the achievements in our company, we hope to encourage more girls to see manufacturing and engineering as exciting, accessible career paths. There’s so much potential in these fields, and we want to ensure everyone feels empowered to explore them.”

•  Guided tours of Spectra’s facilities, offering an up-close view of cutting-edge machinery and operations.

•  Opportunities to speak directly with team members and apprentices.

•  Informative sessions on the hands-on training and support apprentices receive.

Each evening will run in two time slots, from 5:00–6:00 pm and 6:00–7:00 pm, providing flexibility for attendees.
