An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Production Assistant Manager in our EBM/IM Department.
As Production Assistant Manager your role will be to help manage the staff in the moulding department and to assist in the smooth running of the production process. This will involve ensuring quality levels required are maintained, addressing production related issues with the Production Manager and maintain production outputs ensuring efficiency and output targets are met.
Responsibilities include:
- Assisting the Production Manager in terms of production, staffing, maintaining quality levels and production processes.
- Monitor the quality of production and ensuring the adherence to company procedures.
- Effectively help to manage, motivate, and develop staff within the department.
- Ensure good communication is provided to shift supervisors, verbal or written.
- Ensure that health and safety rules and regulations are adhered to along with reporting and acting on issues in line with the company’s health and safety policy.
- Help to Identify training needs and provide support for training as required.
- Undertake a proactive role in continuous improvements.
- Assist in managing staff holidays & over time cover where required.
- Monitoring of department performance; generating accurate reports.
You will be:
• A minimum of one year’s experience in a supervisory capacity as a minimum with leadership ability to motivate and support staff.
• An excellent communicator, forging strong positive relationships and leading by example.
• Hard-working, self-motivated, with a positive ‘can do’ attitude.
• Able to manage your own time, plan your own workload and meet set targets and prioritise effectively.
• Conscientious with a sharp eye for detail and a pride for delivering excellence consistently.
• Proactive in using own initiative in finding solutions and making team improvements.
• Honest, reliable and accountable.
• Able to pick up processes and operations effectively.
• Motivated to learn new skills and keep abreast of industry changes.
• Flexible, adaptable and open to embracing change as well as the ability to facilitate change.
• Safety and quality conscious.
• Experience within a manufacturing environment is desirable.
